So today was the 20 week scan. After freaking out after a good 12 week scan I had given myself a good talking to and stayed away from here to try and stop me thinking scary thoughts. Unfortunately, positive thoughts were not enough. After a long and detailed (if very fuzzy scan) with enough positive comments for me to relax the sonographer turned to us and said he had something to report. Apparently instead of the two bones in the forearm he could only see one in each forearm. I've been referred to a specialist scan on Thursday but now I'm a mess all over again (termination for edwards syndrome in April of this year). Only this time I'm so much further along and everyone knows I'm pregnant. Has anyone heard of this before????? I'm hoping he just couldn't see it because of position....
