Sorry for the delay. Here's my birth story....Lewis Albert was born at 7.15am on 19th Oct. Weighing in at 8lbs6.
On the 18th I had a sweep at the hospital as was hoping to avoid being induced at 40 weeks, I was 38+2 when they did the sweep and she told me my cervix was soft and about 2cm dilated.
That night I had licht period type pains on and off throughout the night. Didn't think much of it and didn't need paracetamol.
At 5am my plug and waters broke and very soon after contractions were coming thick and fast. My mum arrived at 6.15 to look after my daughter and I already knew it was going to be quick. We left for the hospital at 6.30, arriving about 15 mins later. On arriving at the antenatal ward I could feel the pressure and was taken straight to delivery suite where they ran the pool for me. Got straight on the gas and air and into the pool and they could already see the head. I was hypnobirthing and the midwives encouraged me to breathe the baby out and didn't use the word "push" at all. Lewis arrived very quickly at 7.15.... I was only in the hospital 30 mins before he came out.
I was extremely overwhelmed and emotional and she'll shocked at the speed on his delivery. He is totally perfect and has completed our family.
