So you'll all know that i was having a bit of a panic a couple of weeks ago about my combined screening results and the chances of reoccurrence of Spina Bifida.
Had my 16 week scan today, consultant was lovely and reassured me about my concerns, spent ages looking at the spine and the brain and said they both looked perfect.
She couldn't really see baby's face as it was shy and covering its face with it's hands. She saw the feet which seemed to be pointing inward at first, but appeared to correct itself towards the end of the scan so she thinks it was just position of the baby. She's written on my notes that to check these two things again at 20 weeks but otherwise that she's happy no abnormalities seen.
She also said she thinks baby is a GIRL!!!
I'm so happy and relieved i could cry.
Also she's prescribed aspirin for history of pre eclampsia and my blood pressure was high at 140/90.
But generally I'm so happy :-) just wanted to share xxx
