2 weeks on and I've finally got around to writing my bs!
I was admitted on Saturday 8th a day before my due date, with the intention of being induced on Sunday morning. An internal showed that I was almost 2cm dilated so was told that my waters would be broken without needing any pessaries beforehand. A huge relief!
I started getting mild contractions though by midnight, which then became stronger and were coming every 5 mins by 5.30am. I was examined again but still only 2cms but the midwife said to call DH and they would take me down to the delivery room anyway.
At 6.30 my waters were broken and at 8.42 Abigail was born, bang on 40 weeks and on her own terms in the end :-)
She is a complete angel - eats, poops, sleeps and rarely cries. DD is the most loved up little girl I have ever seen and DH and I are in love.
A rainbow pregnancy is so, so difficult but when they finally arrive everything just fades into the background. Our little family is complete and Zoe will be a wonderful guardian angel for her 2 sisters
