After a few weeks of worrying, since maternity consultant told me there was a problem with genetic tests, finally saw genetic consultant today.
He explained that I have an extra gene. It's known when it's absent to cause stunted growth and learning difficulties (which is what I had been told applied to me) it's not know what affect having an extra gene will have if any. But as there is no history of anything in my family, geneticist said it wasn't something to worry about. It isn't linked to spina bifida at all. He explained it in more detail obviously but I'm so relieved.
Also had an early scan booked in and there was a little bean with a heartbeat.
Overall a huge weight has been lifted. Won't relax completely until anomaly scan is done but feeling a lot more positive than I have been.
