So I'm 12 weeks tomorrow (how did that happen?!) and I'm struggling to conceal my burgeoning bump/gas/podge from my work colleagues. So all being well at either this or my detailed cardiac scan (hopefully at around 15 weeks) I will have to make an announcement soon.
My boss already knows (and knows my history) but many others don't. I'm therefore expecting the inevitable "is this your first pregnancy/baby?" question.
I'm looking for advice on how best to answer this. The easy option is to say "yes" and tolerate the well-meaning "advice" that would follow - but somehow it feels like a betrayal to deny the existence of my beautiful angel - my daughter.
Is there a nice summary speech you have given to get around this rainbow mummies and mummies-to-be?
