So I've just had an 18week anomaly scan and thank god our babies brain and spine appeared normal. Consultant said all appears ok and will rescan at 22wks.
Then the midwife came and handed me the report and said 'the only issue picked up was the hyperechogenic bowel' .. consultant didn't say anything whilst scanning me but the midwife explained it means the bowel is showing up brighter on the scan.
Anyway as i wasn't told anything other than that i went and googled it and am now petrified as it can be a marker for various serious issues.
Has anyone experienced this or know much about it?
Thanks x
