Hey ladies im home!!!!!
Right then monday evening we went in for 8pm to be induced at 39w 1d. The induction lounge was amazing. They started me off straight away with the gel which instantly worked and I started with pains in my hips. Me and ste walked the length and breath of the hospital in the early hours to get thibgs moving. At 3am I was examined and and I was 1-2cm so more was inserted. Things them seemed to slow down. We were moved to delivery at 9am and we were given an amazing MW. I was given pain killers and examined and I was 3-4cm. They decided to break my waters and get me going with the drip. The doc had to break them in the end as it was too difficult, I was then finding everything funny coz of the gas & air. Contractions were painful and strong so was fitted with an epidural. Cutting a long story short, everytine I had a contraction which was every minute Max's heart beat was dropping down into the 80's and sometimes 70s. A doc came in to monitor and said that it could be he was in distress. We decuded to have the little scratch test done and it came back he was fine. His HR continued to drop so a professor was brought in to soeak to us and I said I wanted a c section ti get him out safe. He sait it was needed and ignored the fact me and ste were in tearsbsaying we could not lose another child. He then left and I sobbed ny heart out to our lovely MW. She agreed with us that a c section would settle my mind. I also said to the professor 'if his HR is dipping and its not important then why are we being monitored by all of you? Why arent you leaving us alone' told him I wasnt prepared to lose a second child to his 'medical opinion' our mw was amazing and got the doc in who broke my waters. She re examined me at 5.55pm and said I was still 4cm and baby was now back to back which would explain the dips and said 'in my opinion we need to get this baby out by no other way than c section. Lets get u going' then winked at me and went to get the consent form. I sobbed with happiness. Within 5 mins I was in theatre, ste came in amd kept me occupied and at 18.45 I felt our boy being born (obvs no pain) he is our life and we instantly sobbed and thanked Evie when we had him. He is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen and I can't believe he is here. All the theatre staff were amazing and knew about Evie. They kept is calm and informed the whole time. I couldn't fault them one bit.
Thank you Evie our amazing Angel you have blessed us with an amazing gift xxx
