I seen my GP yesterday to tell her I was pregnant, she said that due to my previous history I should be seen between 6-8 weeks at the hospital. (I'm 4+2 today) She gave me a number to phone to arrange the booking appointment.
When I phoned the number the woman on the other end was so rude to me. I explained that with my first son I had severe pre-eclampsia and he was born at 30+4, with my second son he had the neural tube defect called Anencephaly and i delivered him at 13 weeks. I also told her that the consultant told us that any subsequent pregnancies would be high risk due to this. The woman on the phone said "I'm telling you now, that won't happen! everyone gets seen after 9 weeks and the midwife will decide if you are high risk or not" she had a terrible attitude, I started to ask a question and she hung up on me!
I came off the phone in tears, so upset at the way she spoke to me. I don't know what to do, should I contact my GP? I still have the number for foetal medicine which I had after my sons diagnosis, do I phone then and explain and hope they can get me seen under my old consultant?
I feel so confused, upset and angry!
