Hi ladies, it's been a while since I posted but wondered if I could grab your thoughts on something, particularly the Mums who are lucky to have their rainbows in their arms.
We sadly lost our first daughter Edie last May as she had a condition called VACTERL Association and would have had a number of physical problems, including one and possibly two leg amputations, only one working kidney and other things which would have meant she spent a lot of time in hospital. It was a heart breaking decision but we felt we wanted her soul to have chance in another, fully working body so had a TFMR... Apologies I digress a little, I think that's the first time I've been able to openly admit that...
Anyway we were lucky enough to conceive again in October (I believe in response to a birthday wish) we found out quickly we were due to have another girl, which I was confused about at first as I wasn't sure how I'd handle the emotion of another girl (we wanted Edie So much, even before she was concieved)
We've always loved her name and I've been struggling to come up with a name we like because I don't think I'll ever love another name as much, but don't want to be disrespectful and use the same name again. Anyway I've now decided it might be nice to use the name Edith Williow... Edith because it is a variation of Edie and Williow because it is strong and flexible and withstand anything. I also like the idea of this daughter carrying a bit of her sister within her, as as sort of guardian angel through life because she wouldn't be here of Edie had been well. I also believe she could be a blessing sent from Edie as I said ... In response to a birthday wish...
Anyway I've wrote a bit more than I intended too but would just like to gather your thoughts on whether you think using Edith would be disrespectful to Edie... Bearing in mind Edith could get shortened to Edie when she is at school or something.
I'm not sure how I'll feel when I get this baby in my arms which is why I'm particularly interested in the mothers who have had their Angels but would appreciate any opinions.
Thankuou in advance xx
