Am i strange?

A strange question, my dad and step mum have said they will buy my cot. (Ive just picked one in the sale) going to order it at the weekend.

They said would get money too me, do we need help building it? I said no we are ok but thanks. (Ive always imagined something me and dh could do together, as already bought everything else, only thing too get in baby spirit) and just got that they want to build it. I tried to be polite but not that close so dont know what to say. Ive just replied that i dont know when it will be built as our house is currently a builiding site and we are in the nursery. Am i being unreasonable? Am i overthinking/overreacting? Xx
