Violet Elizabeth arrived at 11.31am weighing a mini 2lb 15oz!
Came in expecting to be sent home again. Had another growth scan that showed no growth in 10 days. That was at about 9.45am. Was sent to the same room I had my angel baby in to wait (freaked
Me out but didn't wanna make a scene)... Was in there half hour and got sent upstairs... Was freaking out about the spinal but to be honest the local anaesthetic was more painful than the spinal itself. Having your legs go numb has to be one of the oddest feelings ever!! It was like having white noise in your legs. I couldn't stop laughing at the sensation which was making the anaesthetist laugh! They put the screen up and I was so busy chatting to oh that I didn't even realise they had started! Bit of pulling and pushing and out she popped about 5 minutes in screaming her head off and looking very annoyed indeed! They showed her to me quickly before taking her into the corner to check her over. She had to go in a plastic bag for a bit and was then wrapped up for a quick cuddle, then whisked off to neo natal. She is breathing fine, just needs fattening up.
She looked so angry which was quite funny! Had this screwed up little face with loads of black hair!! Shes the spitting image of her dad!!!
I am in the ward waiting until I feel ok enough to go and see her. My blood pressure has played up a bit but really don't feel as bad as I expected at all! Just so glad she's here and being looked after... It's been a long time coming!!! :-)
