We went for our follow up today...
It was an infection. They think i have an incomptent cervix that opened and let in the infection which quickly travelled to her lungs.
Theres no way to stop it happening again altho my cervix will be monitored and a stitch put in if it opens, which carries a risk of infection in itself.
Im to call my bereavement team if i feel off, or notice any changes to CM next time who will do their best to get me antibiotics as opposed to triage who would send me home if cervix was shut. Im to make use of MAU a lot next time.
Its not the worst outcome but also not the best. Its a risk and its scary because if an infection takes hold theres not much can be done.
I dont know how to feel right now but im getting an urgent referral for counselling so thats good.
